The Star of the Love We Need – The August 2014 Star of David
The highlight of our Hot August Nights astrology month here on AK has to be the Star of David which will appear on August 16th. This will be very much a Star of David for our age as it is formed by one of the dwarf planets Juno which is presently in Cancer, sextile Mercury in Virgo sextile Mars in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces and sextile the Moon in Taurus. Let’s talk about Juno and how important she actually is in our charts to understand the impact this Star may have on us personally.
Many astrologers look to Juno in our birthcharts to tell them about the kind of long term marriage partner we will attract. Juno rules the kind of partner we need and the relationship we will get – not the one we may want. This is the important difference. Venus and Mars in our charts are involved in the pursuit of the one(s) we want – and at the end of the day as many of us come to realise, the one we want may not be the one we need – or even the one who is good for us. All relationships are opportunities for soul learning and we need to bear this in mind. Juno however can show us what may be best for us in the longer term and we have to bear in mind we have free will here. Understanding Juno’s placement in our charts however is a big step forward to us understanding where we may be attracting or going after the wrong kind of person for us and her involvement in this Star of David is an opportunity to get it right – either by understanding why we are with the person we are with or if we are single, to attract the right kind of person for us. Juno is not concerned with what this person looks like. Whether they are ‘hot’ or not – that’s all Venus stuff. Juno is concerned with their inner qualities and ability to meet our emotional needs. Sometimes we can be unaware of these and on an emotional level, this Star may bring us knowledge and revelations around these as we see our most intimate needs for what they are – and as a result our relationships in a very different way.
Juno in Cancer is all about bringing sensitivity and nurturing to partnerships – but without smothering or crossing that line between ‘lover’ and ‘mother’. If two people bring out the best qualities in one another by being in a relationship together then we can say that this would be the best way this energy could express itself. We should all then be looking at our relationships and asking if this is happening for us – no matter what sign our natal Juno occupies. Does the person you are with inspire you to be the best possible version of you that you can be? Are you doing the same for them? If not, you may have some serious thinking to do and look closely at what Juno is trying to tell you.
With Neptune in Pisces as part of this Star of David you will see that he actually trines Juno – asking us all to be ready for a higher love or higher form of love. Mars sits in his own sign of Scorpio as well and this also says we don’t have to give up the passion either. If a love that fulfils your needs is what you are seeking now – as opposed to the love that involves what you think you want, you could just find you already have the whole package – or that the time has come to have it. Those Hot August Nights may abut to become even hotter now.
