The importance of being able to look before we leap and to establish boundaries is going to be emphasised this week. The Grand Fire Trine of the 27^th sees the Moon in free-wheeling, freedom loving Sagittarius, Sag’s ruler Jupiter in shining, golden Leo and Uranus in decisive, go-getting Aries. The feeling of freedom though taking action around what we love is what this aspect is all about. If you’re not feeling the fire – you need to reconnect quite literally to what it is that ‘fires you up’. And don’t judge that.

Mars is in a powerful position for all of us at the moment as he’s sitting in Capricorn – sign of establishment. This is one of those transits where Mars’s energy can really be channelled constructively. We can use it to establish boundaries and also to react appropriately when someone crosses them (as opposed to just flying off the handle). The real challenge however is always holding on to this when something unexpected appears – and this could well happen when Mars squares Uranus in Aries (Mars’s ruling sign) on the 31^st. Mars in Capricorn not only provides us with the ability to respond appropriately, but also allows us to first think through the long-term consequences of our response. So, this is strategic Mars as opposed to shoot-from-the-hip Mars. Use this aspect for anything in your life which requires a combination of action backed up with sound strategy – whether this is in your work or your personal life.

The 2^nd sees the Sun and Venus meet in transformational Scorpio as well as Mercury giving us a voice in Libra and opposing Uranus in Aries. We’re asked to express our desire for balance and also to be aware of the difference between the law and justice. One of them is blind for a reason. Personal power issues especially around joint finances may be themes for many of us this week. Pluto remains in a tight square to Uranus from Capricorn and again, we’re all being asked to act with insight and with an eye on the long term implications of what we do now. So, no more room for blindness. Uranus however is set to shake up structures we have created which no longer serve us – be they actual physical ones or mental ones. We should therefore not be blind to their shortcomings. This is where those boundaries come in again. Ask if what you have created is worth defending, if the lines have become blurred and if you need to re-draw them this week. You’ve the power to do so no matter what your sign. But when it comes to that Libran desire for balance and justice, and when we should enforce those boundaries, here’s some practical advice from a Libran: ‘I don’t care if you’re black, white, straight, bisexual, gay, lesbian, short, tall, fat, skinny, rich or poor.
