Capricorns often have a shaky start to life and as such they learn quickly that work is the answer and that life isn’t about to offer a free ride. The first three to four decades of a Capricorn’s life is usually devoted to achieving success in the areas that matter to them – their profession, home and family as this is the one sign where traditions and family matters matter. Once a Capricorn has achieved a certain level of success they lighten up revealing a distinctly light-hearted and fun side – all thanks to some influence by Uranus who rules their money zone. This also gives Capricorns an unexpected innovative and inventive streak so R&D is another area in which they can excel.

Capricorn is the sign of financial acumen and sorry, not even a Taurus comes close to their expertise. Just like Taurus however, Capricorn adores the green stuff but for different reasons. Taurus wants money to feel secure and then spend on pleasuring the senses. Capricorn wants money because it allows them to get to a position of prestige and respect – to scale to the top of the ladder and stay there. As such they will work long and hard to achieve this. However, there are some minor exceptions and there are Capricorns who seem to be in denial about their financial power and so abdicate all responsibility onto partners or spouses expecting them to pick up the tab. The extreme example of this kind of Sea Goat is the Capricorn who spends their life on welfare benefits claiming they are unable to earn a living.

Usually however, Capricorns have the whole money thing down pat. They make smart, careful investments and this is the sign likely to buy investment properties and feel comfortable in the world of stocks and shares although they usually buy blue-chip. But they have an innate sense of what will prove to be a good investment in the long term.

Capricorns can be handicapped by negative thoughts however and this is usually the reason for a Capricorn that is struggling financially. You need to focus on the positive and your successes rather than dwell on failures. If you see yourself as a success then you soon will be. Often Capricorn needs to go on a mental diet from pessimism. You also need to learn to enjoy some of your money in the present. Yes, there’s nothing like having long term goals but do set aside money to enjoy in the here and now and let go of any fears that there won’t be enough for you in the future. You will always attract what you need.
