Your Money Planets – Gemini
When it comes to money we’ve all got planets working for – and against us. Check out your astrological financial profile for your sign to make the most of your ability to attract and make that stuff which makes the material world go around – money.
Money for Gemini is more a means to an end and their quicksilver minds are usually full of schemes to acquire it. Whether they act on those ideas or not is another matter. Before they have the chance, something newer and even more exciting may distract them. Financial security is rarely high on the list of priorities for a Gemini but they do enjoy the experiences money buys them. And experience usually teaches them that what they value most in life isn’t something you can deposit in a bank. The late Robert Maxwell, the media mogul who died mysteriously back in the early 90’s, best sums up a Gemini’s philosophy on finances: ‘Money gives me the freedom to travel where and when I want, and that’s why I appreciate it’.
So yes, despite appearances to the contrary, their happy-go-lucky attitude to money usually belies a Gemini’s deep respect for the folding stuff. Ruled by Mercury, Gemini’s are not above bending some rules to acquire their money. Now I’m not for one minute suggesting they are dishonest, but if they have a source of cash income they are the sign which is least likely to tell the tax man about it. As for all signs, the Gemini bank account is ruled by Venus but their second house of finances also falls under the Moon’s dominion. Money can go in and out like the tide or wax and wane like the Moon. Don’t worry however, with Mercury working for you a new source usually won’t be too long appearing. Gemini’s are incredibly resourceful when it comes to finding ways to generate cash. However, because of the link to the Moon they should time launching business ventures and making investments with the new Moon and certainly never take any financial risks or make long-term commitments when their ruler Mercury is retrograde.
A Gemini saving is usually doing so to fund an experience or an escape route – or both. Geminis are likely to have several careers over their lifetimes – probably in search of the one that will provide them with the flexibility and freedom they crave.
To fund your adventures make sure you don’t scatter your energy – learn to concentrate on one or two projects and see them through. Try to come up with a long term financial plan – yes, I know it’s dull but the thing is – this is what will bankroll your lifestyle in the future.
Gemini’s need people around them who spark their creativity and with whom they can exchange ideas and advice. Make sure you surround yourself with the right people – network and use your contacts. This is true ‘money in the bank’ for you.
Above all, always be honest with yourself and others about your financial position. It is one thing to act as if you have a million pounds in the bank and to sell yourself and your talents to your best ability, but another to reside in fantasy land. Don’t fall into the trap of living in a fantasy financial land – it’s a form of escapism nobody can afford at the end of the day.
