The North Node’s arrival in fiery, Do It Aries wants to hand us all more confidence in ourselves, our talents and our abilities to make things happen.. Destiny becomes self-directed at this point. Actions more certain. Our determination to have to do something, more intense.
If you are now 19 or over, you have lived through at least one North Node in Aries/South Node in Libra cycle. Even if you were an infant at the time. If you were at an age where you were not yet in charge of your own destiny at that point, you can discover clues as to what this cycle holds by asking family members what was going on for them back in 2004-05. Or back further in 19 year leaps. This will give you clues as to what may reappear for you now. Or where you can in fact stop history repeating as the Nodes are concerned with karma.

If the North Node is in Aries, the South Node is now in Libra. The Nodes move backward through the signs. So, they enter at 29o on July 18 (or 17th depending on your time zone). Do check your chart. And time travel as needed.
Aries is ruled by Mars, and Libra by Venus. So yes, the classic Venus/Mars dynamic will be activated now. We all will be looking at karmic lessons around me vs. me and you. How we relate to others. What to Watch For: This is a make-love, not war nodal cycle. At least, that is what it wants us all to do collectively and individually. Do be aware that when we stop making whoopee, we make the opposite when Mars is in the mix.
Many astrologers leave out Dark Libra. Concentrating instead on Libra’s desire for relationship and balance. However, Venus at its most bitter, wronged and unforgiving, brings war. Hence the 7th house and Libra rule divorce and open enemies. We all have a choice in how we react. And if the parting is inevitable, can elect to do this amicably. But this is certainly something to be aware of under this Nodal cycle.
Destiny driven love, karmic contracts between souls – how relationship ready we are or how well we bring balance and harmony to our connections, can see us ascend to more loving, alchemical unions. Isn’t that worth the work?
It’s no coincidence that the start of this all-important cycle where we look at what we are prepared to give and get in the name of love, coincides with a rare Venus retrograde in the sign of sweet, sweet love and romance – Leo (23rd). It’s also Leo’s birthday season when the Sun lands in here on the same day. Glorious radiant Leo – your new cycle has a watch-and-wait feel to it. You may be refining your look, readying for a relaunch or simply re-examining your past to ensure it doesn’t repeat.
Our creativity, self-expression, and passions can be reclaimed from the cosmic Lost and Found department between now and when Venus moves direct again in September. Enter into the process and be prepared to abandon yourself to it. Allow it to unfold at its own pace, and don’t push. On the 27th, when Mercury meets retro Venus we can see a return to love on some level for all of us. Or a chance to reclaim an old one. Love is a path we can choose. Just as we can choose the opposite one. When we focus on what we love, the choice becomes easy. And new love karma follows.
In a nutshell: Love isn’t just our destiny and our birthright. It’s the key to evolving our souls. And a conscious choice we can all make. As the North Node swings back into Aries, get proactive when it comes to making love. Not its opposite!
